There are two types of people in the world of tattoos: the first is those who get one or two somewhat small, well thought out (or maybe not so well thought out), tattoos for a couple reasons. And the second is those who get tattooed to fulfill a deeper meaning and often have several or more tattoos. Tattoos address an individual's personal experiences and will most likely tell us what's important to that individual.
The first group of people that get tattooed are those that want to fit in or feel accepted by a larger peer group such as friends, colleagues, and organizations that they are involved with. Another often more common reason for this group, is that these people get tattooed out of rebellion. This group often gets tattooed when they are adolescents because of the conflicts over identity and to show their control of their own bodies. Tattoos have to be seen before someone can get the idea to get one done and the current medias interest with tattoos strongly fuels this system. Celebrities tattoos are constantly being showcased in movies, magazines, TV shows, and all other forms of media which heavily influences adolescents decisions in getting one.
The second group of people are those who get tattooed because it means something very personal to them and helps them express their thoughts, beliefs, and ideals as well as commemorate a special memory or loved one. These people often have a larger number of tattoos and sometimes even choose to cover their whole bodies. This is obviously the more outrageous group that has a deeper understanding of what tattoos used to stand for and think less about the stigmas surrounding tattoos in our current times.
Tattoos have been around for thousands of years and have been put on everyone from prison gangs to aristocrats. Just like anything else, there are certain trends and cycles that tattoos go through. Nowadays, tattoos have become much more complex and include almost any piece of 2D art that you can find that can fit onto a part of the human body as well as a full range of tattoo lettering. In the last 10-15 years they have become much more widely accepted and people from all walks of life now sport tattoos.

Interesting to see a couple of re-badged European cars on display at the 2010 Detroit show earlier this month.
Following its takeover by Fiat, Chrysler clearly couldn’t be bothered to do too much with the Lancia Delta, not even going to the trouble of changing its model name. A minor tweak to the grille seemed to be enough.
The Chrysler Delta. Or is it?
Buick meanwhile appeared to make a bit more of an effort with the Regal, its version of the Vauxhall / Opel Insignia. The GS shown featured a 252 bhp four cylinder turbo engine. Not quite the 321 bhp that the six cylinder Insignia VXR / OPC has, but it should still be rather quick, with a 0 - 60 mph time below six seconds.

Undoubtedly one of the best features of the Fiat Grande Punto was its styling, which even earned comparison to the design of the Maserati 3200 GT, around the nose at least. Hardly surprising considering that Italdesign was involved in both cars.
So who knows what Fiat was thinking when it signed off the Grande Punto’s successor, the Punto Evo? Being kind, it’s definitely a striking facelift. Being unkind, perhaps they should have left the bandages on. Maybe it’ll look better in the flesh, but the combination of that great chrome strip with the heavy bumper / grille arrangement at the front really isn’t very photogenic.
Not all bad news though - one of the highlights of the Punto Evo has to be the new MultiAir petrol engines that manage to increase power and torque, whilst reducing fuel consumption and emissions. This is achieved by a clever new electro-hydraulic method of controlling the inlet and outlet valves.
It means that the most powerful petrol engine, the 1.4 16v turbo, produces 135 bhp yet will do just over 50 mpg (5.6 l/100km) on the combined cycle (according to Fiat) with carbon dioxide levels of 129 g/km.
By comparison its predecessor, the Grande Punto with the 1.4 T-Jet engine, could generate only 120 bhp, failed to better 43 mpg (6.6 l/100 km) and had emissions of 155 g/km.

Today is the day Volvo Trucks is launching the world’s most powerful series-manufactured truck. The Volvo FH16 with 700 hp and 3150 Nm of torque.
Volvo Trucks is the first manufacturer in the world to be able to put a 700 hp badge on its vehicles. The truck model in question is the company’s flagship, the Volvo FH16, which to date has had a maximum power output of 660 hp.
“The Volvo FH16 is intended for the very heaviest and most demanding of transport operations. It is also a highly prestigious truck for the customer who is looking for something truly out of the ordinary. And with 700 hp, the Volvo FH16 sets itself apart from everything else in the industry,” says Staffan Jufors, President and CEO of Volvo Trucks.
With higher power, one might well expect that fuel consumption would head in the same direction, but that is not the case.“Our aim is to have both the best performance and the best fuel economy in the segment. We have succeeded in keeping fuel consumption the same as before despite the power increase. In a comparison with the competition, we are doing very well indeed,” reveals Staffan Jufors.
The Volvo FH16 is certified for the new Euro 5 European emission requirements that come into force in autumn 2009, which means that emissions of nitrogen oxide have been cut by more than 40 percent. In other words, the Volvo FH16 has become even more powerful but without compromising on the environment. In addition to the 700 hp version the Volvo FH16 is also available in variants producing 540 and 600 hp respectively.

Sharing the spotlight in Geneva is the next-generation Mazda 3 MPS, one of the world’s most powerful front-wheel drive compact cars. It takes the all-new Mazda 3 hatchback as its base and raises it to new levels of driving excitement with an updated MZR 2.3-litre DISI turbo petrol engine, increased body shell rigidity and an evolved suspension. To this it adds exclusive design cues and materials to deliver a next-generation compact flagship that is even more fun to own and drive than the current model.
On top of its high performance level – one of the best in the category – the all-new Mazda 3 MPS was developed according to Mazda’s long-term vision for technology development. Advanced Mazda engine and catalytic converter technologies mean the new model has an optimized power delivery, uses less fuel, and has cleaner emissions than the previous Mazda 3 MPS model.
RDSport have released the RS46 program for the new BMW M3 E92. The RDSport RS46 new engine internals include larger, forged, light-weight, aluminum pistons, forged, billet connecting rods and new billet crankshaft with a longer stroke. All of these parts equate to a larger displacement 4.6 liter motor, up from the factory 4.0 liter. The exhaust system of the RDSport RS46 BMW M3 features race, tubular headers with F1-style merge collectors, metal-matrix, sport, catalytic converters, X-Flow downpipe and sport silencers all built from stainless steel. Also included in the build is a complete exhaust including; race, tubular headers with F1-style merge collectors, metal-matrix, sport, catalytic converters, X-Flow downpipe and sport silencers all built from stainless steel. Options for the motor include carbon air box, larger-displacement, carbon plenum chamber, power pulley, lightweight clutch and flywheel. The result is an amazing 524 bhp and an increase of 115 ft-lbs of torque over stock!
The RS46 is equipped with the RDSport Chassis kit consisting of specially valved Bilstein shocks and RDSport Springs. The set up leaves the vehicle with a 30 mm drop in the front and 25 mm lower in the rear. The RDSport RS Brake System consists of 6-piston, aluminum monoblock calipers on the front and 4-piston monoblock calipers in the rear. Customers have the option of ordering either cross-drilled or slotted rotors.
