Nathan ScottIt's not wasting money. Buying a digital copy results in higher quality than ripping the original vinyl albums, and buying remastered releases results in better quality than original releases.
Just because you don't have the ability to understand the importance or the appeal of Beatles music doesn't mean those who can are wasting money by buying what they like. It's really amazing how many posters like to criticize something, just because they don't personally like it. That's why millions of musicians can be successful, because there are so many musical tastes.
Like what you like. Buy what you want. But don't be so infantile as to attack those whose tastes differ from yours.
You quoted me before I added my final part at the bottom (it was the whole point to my post which I accidentally deleted changing the font size.). I was one of the people who thought everyone already owned their music who really wanted it. Apparently having The Beatles on iTunes appealed to a new generation of fans. I'm sure some people repurchased for the sake of supporting the Beatles. I would not doubt they have fans that dedicated. All your other stuff about understanding the importance of the Beatles is just gibberish to me. People love to overestimate their importance and act like they are the greatest thing to happen in the past 100 years.
nathan scott quotes. nathanwont miss him I think the Facebook app could be much better
That may be true about the bugs but it's considered to be the best Facebook app on any mobile platform and he alone worked on it. He does say in his Twitter posts (@joehewitt) that bug fixes were already submitted and I believe push notifications as well.
When you hear stories, like this week and the political bobble head fiasco, you really wonder what is going on at Apple.
Nathan ScottThat's what I'm wondering. I have tons of music videos and now there is no listing of them for me to look through.
It's now a PLAYLIST

I sure hope my college gives out free upgrades like they did with XP Pro, because $239 is a LOT to spend on an OS!
(and no, after the DLhell from doing an upgrade from 98 to XP, I would never go the upgrade route again)
One Tree HillLucas ScottNathanfor a designer with such a relationship with typefaces as yours you should know that Apple's usual font is Myriad Set and that this is in fact a version of Myriad Set, just the rarely used 'light' version
see here for comparison: http://img508.imageshack.us/my.php?image=myriadrd6.png
yeah, i do know :) . look at my post from page 2:
it is, i believe Myriad Pro Light. i think banners are usually Myriad Pro semibold.
nathan scott quotes. it wud AsFBI, I think a terrorist plot is going to be happening on the 15th in SF! I think it might be a Chemical warfare! There are banners saying something might be in the Air!
quote nathan scott i need somePersonally the Zune is looking fairly attrective right now. Ever since the 5th Gen iPod came out everyone has complained that it needed to be widescreen and have a bigger screen. I don't care for the WiFi sharing really but you have to admit the interface looks pretty nice.

I really hope they put a graphics card in it (even 64MB) and an 802.11N capable wifi card.
hmm... but shouldn't they wait until 802.11n becomes more than just a draft of a format?
and when is the apple product spree going to end!?!?!?!
goodbye to Nathan Scott,If you look at the picture of the iPhone poster, it seems to have a couple of subtle differences compared to my iPhone:
http://images.appleinsider.com/macworld-banner-7.jpg
Maybe I'm just suffering from pre macworld hallucinations, but that certainly looks different to my iPhone...
Subtle ?? That's not the current iPhone interface when in a call.
It's blaring right at you.look at that iPhone. It shows the blue area at the top.Go make a call and see how it looks.
This is a new iPhone or creative license.

lady bla bla has some talent. you have to have some to get admitted to juliard and NYU. even madonna had a good musical education before she hit the clubs in the 1980's

if you haven't seen this yet, it's lady bla bla a year or so before she hit it big
I had not seen that before. It'd beautiful.Makes it all the more sad that she sold here soul to be famous.GaGa fever will probably be over in a few years. She could have had a lifetime of success and respect if she hadn't changed. So so sad.I hope in the future she looks back and thinks it was worth it.

Att people will have it over wifi only while verizon will allow it on 3G. That's probably how it will play out. OTA can be pushed out by apple's servers regardless. It's up to the carriers to allow it without charging you big time for it.

Having more distribution points does not increased the supply; it just spreads it out more thinly, making it even harder to locate the few supplies that do exist.
It's called planning ahead.
While there may not be enough ipads right now, as soon as there are enough the distribution is expanded.
I agree with another poster: Positioning for gaming.
In any Apple store the ipads are hogged and blocked by a lot of kids.
They got the idea of what they want:-)
As for where to buy : Who cares? If you get one anyplace that would be great!
(Nathan Scott) does notHe-he... I'm testing "The Wall", too... :)
Did the "Gapless Determination" detect your The Wall album or did you, like me, have to set the Gapless Album tag yourself...?It detected on its own.
Looks really hot BUT where is EQ?, i live by this thing, now i can no longer find it. Whats up?It's listed under "view"

But...but...but...this is only "iMovie Pro"! Apple's dumbing it down! No "professional" would spit on this if it was on fire! A buncha internet blowhards said so, so it must be true!
Can you elaborate? What features make it dumbed down? Do you even know? Or are you just repeating what other ignorant people are saying cause it sounds cool?
Or are you actually employing sarcasm?
It's nice to see the generally positive comments on this forum, other forums for "professionals" are not so happy!
Personally I can't wait to start working with it.
I can't wait, either. I definitely won't use it professionally for quite a while but I'm excited to jump right in and start exploring. I'm guessing none of my 3rd party plugins will work and existing projects won't be compatible, but I'm so glad they're rebuilding FCP and moving into the future.
Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8F190 Safari/6533.18.5)
If you think about it, it's not all too surprising that some of these "professionals" are getting so worked up and sulky over this release. The notion that "pro editing" can belong to just about anyone, rather than an exclusive circle of elites, poses an existential crisis. Apple's re-thinking of editing is also a re-thinking of what it means to be "professional". The announcement sheds light on a future in which their "advanced", learned techniques are no longer advantageous. The "industry pros" are facing the plight of impending impotence. It's not something anyone would really openly admit, but I think they're feeling a bit naked, stripped of their status.
Who can blame them for being pissy?
Haha, that sounds funny but it's not real-world. Film/Video production is actually hard work and requires skill and talent. Just because you can buy Final Cut Pro and learn where the buttons are doesn't mean you know the first thing about what you're doing. I see proof of this all the time. It's very hard to fill positions because a lot of up-and-comers these days can talk the talk but are actually dumb as feces. Call it "professional" or "elitist" or whatever you want but talk to me after you stare down the barrel of 200 hours of video and make a show out of it. Until then, you're all talk.
it's not all that expensive considering Apple has release three OS upgrades since XP came out at least. If you add those together it is more expensive than Vista. That's how you have to look at it

Interesting points considering you don't know the music I listen to. But you are probably correct in some ways. It is interesting that some of the innovation came from EMI technicians in the studio and the Beatles themselves were influenced by countless other American artists so who made who first?

Ah. I'm drooling for the Merom. Anybody know if it's just not ready yet?
Most iPods are used in situations where our eyes aren't free to focus on a screen however good--commuting, jogging, biking or whatever. To compete with ebooks from Sony and others, this ebook iPod needs to be able to read text aloud as well as display it on screen.
It also needs to bookmark text and audio files well, so we can resume where we left off and shift between reading and listening without losing our place. And that means multiple bookmarks, not just a mark for the last place we were. (Marking text like a post-it note would also be a plus.)
In addition, iTunes needs to be able to download text books and newscasts (free and by subscription) as easily and automatically as it now does podcasts. Pushing content is always better than pulling it.
Those are things existing ebooks don't do. Add those features to an ebook iPod, and Apple will be miles ahead of the competition. Sony and (soon) Microsoft will be eating their dust.
